2. Structural Design

Outer box part: The size of the outer box is slightly larger than the drawer, forming a nested relationship. The side panels of the outer box and the front and rear panels are butt-jointed or overlapped, and fixed with glue or tape to ensure the overall strength of the box. The top of the outer box can be designed as an open or flip-up structure, and the flip-up part can be set with magnetic suction or buckle to increase the stability of the closure.
Strengthening structure: Double-layer cardboard or triangular reinforcement sheets are used to reinforce the corners of the drawer and the outer box to improve the box's impact resistance. For larger boxes, support plates can be added inside to prevent the box from deforming during transportation.
3. Material Selection
Cardboard Type
Outer layer: White cardboard or coated paper is used. White cardboard has high stiffness and a smooth surface, which is suitable for printing exquisite patterns and can improve the grade of the product. Coated paper has bright colors and high clarity, which is suitable for product packaging with extremely high requirements for printing effects. If the product is positioned as a high-end gift, 300-400 grams of coated paper can be selected.
Inner layer: For the drawer part, if the product is heavier, corrugated cardboard is used; lighter products can use greyboard paper. The flute type of corrugated cardboard can be selected according to the weight of the product, such as E flute for lighter products and B flute or C flute for heavier products.
